We were looking for three important things in an active adult lifestyle community. We searched all over. But, we found all three here - the friendship of couples our age with shared experiences and values; health care, regional shopping centers and the 401 corridor are close at hand and we own the land so we can landscape and garden to our heart's content.

When it came time to take advantage of early retirement we chose Brighton by the Bay and the charm of small town Ontario. In fact we were the first residents! But we weren't concerned. Brighton is steeped in history and we love it! At home, we can garden or just relax and take in the scenery. And with the community center such a going concern we're as active as we want to be!

When you love boating as much as we do it was absolutely necessary that we retired in a lakeside community. We treat our boat as an "extended living room" all summer long. We're always entertaining friends and family and with Presqu'ile at our door there's no better place to do it. Now, it's absolutely wonderful to stroll down the street, jump in the boat and take off. The full service marina is a real bonus.
